Description

A single-light brass pendant with a wide disk shade that directs light downward while remaining visually open.

Form

The pendant is composed around a flat, circular shade with a gently tapered edge. A short cylindrical neck connects the shade to a black suspension cord, creating a clear vertical axis above a horizontal plane. The bulb remains exposed beneath the shade, reinforcing the fixture’s straightforward geometry.

Materials

The shade and ceiling canopy are finished in brass, presenting a brushed surface with subtle radial texture. A contrasting black cylindrical element sits above the shade, visually separating the cord from the brass body. The cord itself is black and height-adjustable via the ceiling canopy.

Light

Light is emitted directly downward from a single E27 bulb mounted beneath the shade. The wide disk softens glare from above while leaving the bulb visible from below, allowing the character of the chosen bulb to influence the overall appearance.

Presence

With its restrained scale and thin profile, the pendant reads as light and graphic in space. The contrast between brass and black gives it definition without ornament, making it suitable for both singular and repeated installations.
